Sequent.app
The free Mac app that lets the Sequent page follow your CDJs. A browser can't hear Pro DJ Link, so this small menu-bar app listens for the decks and passes their tempo, beats, key and tracks to the page on the same Mac.
Download for Mac
the latest version
Install
- Open the disk image and drag Sequent into Applications.
- Open Sequent from Applications. macOS asks once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet: choose Open. It sits in the menu bar, with no window.
- Connect the Mac to a CDJ with a USB cable, and quit rekordbox, which holds the same network ports.
- Open turpin.studio on the same Mac and choose Connect to the CDJs in the transport.
Is yours up to date?
- From 0.3.0, Sequent.app says in its own menu when a newer version is out.
- The Sequent page says so too, on the transport's CDJ row, whenever an older app is connected.
- Your version is in the app's drop-down in the menu bar, and on that CDJ row.

Sequent.app reads the CDJs using Deep Symmetry's DJ Link research, the Pro DJ Link protocol they worked out and published. The app's own code is ours; the understanding of what the decks send is theirs.
